AMMAN — Patriarch Theophilos III, patriarch of the Holy City and all Jordan and Palestine, on Monday conveyed greetings to His Majesty King Abdullah and the Jordanian people on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Independence Day of the Kingdom.

Patriarch Theophilos, in a statement cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, expressed pride in Jordan’s leadership and people for their sacrifices in preserving the country by maintaining unity between Muslims and Christians.

Zelensky wished the Jordanian people peace, harmony and prosperity, expressing his aspiration to further develop the Ukrainian-Jordanian relations.

The president also expressed certainty that the second centennial, under the Hashemite leadership, will witness more achievements that will further enhance the Kingdom’s status and its endeavours to build peace and stability in the Middle East.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Chairman of Parliament Dmytro Razumkov and Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba also extended greetings to the Jordanian leadership and people on the occasion, commending the Kiev-Amman ties.
