Patriarch Theophilos III hails King’s efforts in safeguarding Jerusalem

AMMAN — The Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem, All Palestine and Jordan Theophilos III on Sunday received His Majesty King Abdullah's representative Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs Sami Daoud, who will participate in the Christmas celebrations.

Patriarch Theophilos III expressed his appreciation for the Kingdom's important role in enhancing the Jerusalemite identity and protecting holy sites, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The patriarch said that His Majesty's representation by senior officials during Christmas each year shows His Majesty’s keenness on enhancing cohesion among communities. Daoud conveyed the King's greeting to the Patriarch and the Christians in the holy land.
