Parliamentary committee voices support for JRTV

AMMAN — The Parliamentary Administrative Committee on Monday emphasised the necessity of providing all possible support to the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation (JRTV) to help it perform its role in service of the country. During a visit to the JRTV, MP Ali Tarawneh, head of the panel, said that the visit is meant to have a first-hand look at the challenges facing the corporation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the JRTV Ghaith Tarawneh and JRTV General Manager Mohammad Balqar briefed the committee on the operations of the corporation, its needs and future plans. Talks also went over the newly launched services, including the digital broadcasting/streaming platform. The committee's members emphasised the importance of the JRTV’s role, calling for meeting the corporation's pressing needs, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
