AMMAN — The three-day period for candidates to submit their applications to run for the upcoming 19th parliamentary elections will begin on Tuesday.
Prospective candidates, however, must pay JD500 at one of the Ministry of Finance’s offices during the registration period and submit a no criminal record certificate, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Other conditions state that the candidate must have been a Jordanian citizen for at least 10 years. Government officials planning to vie for parliamentary seats must resign their posts 60 days before election day, slated for November 10.
