AMMAN — The Palestinian-Jordanian Business Forum on Sunday called on the Palestinians to boycott Ramon Airport and use other alternatives, expressing concern about the negative effects of the use of the Israeli airport on the Kingdom’s tourism and transport sectors.
The forum, in a statement, said that the Israeli side failed to operate Ramon Airport in the previous years, but now they are trying to promote and encourage Palestinian travellers to travel through it.
The occupation forces are the driver of overcrowding and Palestinian travellers’ suffering at border crossings, the forum said.
It voiced appreciation of the Kingdom’s measures to ease travel for Palestinian travellers, notably extending working hours at the King Hussein Bridge.
It also called for additional facilitations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
