Palestinian President Abbas receives IEC delegation

AMMAN — Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday welcomed a delegation from the Independent Elections Commission (IEC) at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah. During the meeting, Abbas emphasised the strong “fraternal” relations between the two countries and their peoples. He also commended the continuous and effective coordination between the Palestinian and Jordanian leaderships, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The president praised the ongoing cooperation between the Palestinian Central Elections Commission and the IEC, stressing the significance of strengthening these ties and exchanging expertise in the field of elections. IEC Chief Commissioner Musa Maaytah reaffirmed commitment to maintaining collaborative efforts between the two sides.
