AMMAN — Representatives from the Palestinian Water Authority (PWA) and the Hebron Municipality as well as planning, water, and sanitation officials visited Jordan’s Water Training Centre on Sunday.

The visit was organised as part of a specialised training programme at the Water Training Centre, which falls within an agreement made with the PWA, aimed at benefiting from Jordan's expertise in wastewater treatment and management, according to a Water Ministry statement.

The Palestinian delegation, accompanied by members of the Water Authority, visited various water sites, wastewater treatment plants and the Aqaba Water Company to learn from Jordan's experience and explore the utilisation of treated water, with the aim of establishing a main wastewater treatment plant in the Hebron Governorate.

Imad Al Qattawneh, Assistant Secretary-General for Administrative Affairs of the Water Authority, expressed Jordan's readiness to provide expertise and support to help improve services in the occupied territories.

The guest delegation expressed their gratitude for Jordan's efforts in the water and sanitation sectors. They acknowledged Jordan's leading experience in wastewater treatment and its potential to benefit their own projects, particularly the establishment of a main wastewater treatment plant in Hebron.
