One dead, 16 injured in separate road accidents

SOUTHERN SHUNEH/AL HASA — One man died and seven others were injured in a three-vehicle collision in Southern Shuneh on Saturday.

The Civil Defence Department (CDD) said a water tanker, a public bus and a minivan collided in the road accident.

CDD personnel administered first aid to the injured and took them to Southern Shuneh Hospital, where some of them are in critical condition.

In Al Hasa town in the south, nine people were injured in a two-car collision on Friday, according to the CDD.

The injured were taken to a military healthcare centre in Al Hasa, where their condition was listed as fair.
