OIC commends Jordan's efforts in Jerusalem

AMMAN — Awqaf Minister Hayel Dawood recently met with Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Iyad Amin Madani and discussed "efforts to consolidate the steadfastness of Jerusalem".

Madani expressed the OIC's "deep gratitude" for Jordan's efforts in maintaining Islamic holy places in Jerusalem, according to an OIC statement.

For his part, Dawood asserted Jordan's support to the OIC efforts and all the initiatives launched in favour of the holy city and its Arab residents.
