Official highlights textile investment opportunities for Chinese delegation

AMMAN — The textile and garment sector in the Kingdom houses various investment opportunities for Chinese companies, especially complementary industries that Jordan lacks, said Jordan Investment Commission (JIC) Secretary General Faridon Hartouqa on Wednesday.

His remarks came during a meeting with a Chinese delegation from China National Textile and Apparel Council. According to a JIC statement, Hartouqa highlighted to the delegation the multiple business opportunities, underlining Jordan’s security and stability, as well as modern legislative environment, industrial zones and free trade agreements with several countries.

These agreements create a window of opportunity for Chinese companies, he said. The guest delegation, representing 17 Chinese textile companies, underlined the importance of furthering joint cooperation between the two countries especially in the fields of economy, investment and trade.
