AMMAN — Commander of the Northern Region Public Security Department (PSD) Brig. Gen. Obeidallah Maaytah on Monday said that more than 96 per cent of cases in 2017 have been decoded and handled thanks to the proficiency of PSD personnel and citizens’ cooperation.
During a meeting with residents of the Azmi Mufti Refugee Camp, Maaytah stressed that security conditions in the northern region of the Kingdom are “good”, despite its location on the border with turbulent countries and its hosting of large number of Syrian refugees, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He noted that the security personnel’s proficiency contributed to reducing the activities of drug traffickers who use the Kingdom as a transit, referring to hundreds of cases related to drug trafficking and abuse foiled by concerned agencies.
