Northern Badia solar power project to be ready by year end

IRBID — The Northern Badia project to generate electricity from solar power is expected to be ready before the end of the year, Irbid District Electricity Company (IDECO) Director General Ahmad Thienat said Wednesday.
He noted that IDECO will buy electricity generated annually by the project, estimated to reach 10 megawatts. Capital Bank signed an agreement with Philadelphia Solar to generate power at a cost of around JD11 million and sell it to IDECO.
