‘No suspension of medical exemptions’

AMMAN — Health Minister Mahmoud Sheyyab on Monday said the government has not halted medical exemptions that had been granted by the Prime Ministry to those lacking medical insurance.
In a ministry statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Sheyyab said the government continues to grant such exemptions, adding that what some media outlets have published on the exemptions’ suspension was untrue.
He said that these exemptions are granted to people who do not have health insurance to enable them receive treatment in public hospitals.
