AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Mohammad Thneibat and Royal Court Secretary General Yousef Issawi inaugurated Salbud Coeducational Elementary School in Sahab, Amman, on Thursday.
The school was built in implementation of Royal directives issued during a visit by His Majesty King Abdullah to Sahab, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
A total of 1,054 students from kindergarten to 10th grade are enrolled in the school, which has 32 classrooms and is equipped with laboratories, a library and sports pitches.
Issawi, who also heads a committee entrusted with following up on Royal initiatives, said Royal initiatives in the educational sector contributed to establishing more than 90 schools that benefited some 100,000 students across the Kingdom.
Thneibat and Issawi attended the morning assembly at the school and toured its facilities.
