New NCFA secretary general begins job

AMMAN — Mohammad Meqdadi on Monday assumed a new position as the secretary general of the National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA), according to a council statement.
Meqdadi holds a Master’s degree in Sociology and has 16 years of experience in family related issues such as family protection against violence. Meqdadi is a member at several specialised committees.
The NCFA was established by law in July 2001 and is chaired by Her Majesty Queen Rania. The NCFA is mandated to work as an “umbrella” organisation and as a coordinating body for relevant governmental and non-governmental agencies in the field of human and social development and family affairs.
The council is actively involved in building relationships with all relevant actors in order to ensure a better quality of life for Jordanian families, according to the statement.
