New JD10 banknote issued — CBJ

AMMAN — A newly designed JD10 banknote with enhanced security features went into circulation on Wednesday, the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) announced. The new note is part of the fifth edition of banknotes, and will be circulated along with the fourth edition, according to the bank.

The circulation date of the JD5 denomination is to be announced later, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

This new banknote features the portrait of the late King Talal. The issue, which is the first in two decades, includes upgraded, durable paper quality in addition to cutting-edge security features, the CBJ said.
