NEPCO to preside sixth Arab Union of Electricity Dead Sea conference

AMMAN — The National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) on Monday announced it would preside over the sixth Arab Union of Electricity Conference to be held on Wednesday at the Dead Sea, featuring representatives from the MENA region and beyond.
Electricity connection and joint power market opportunities and cooperation are among NEPCO’s top priorities for the conference agenda, said NEPCO General Director Amjad Rawashdeh.
The two-day conference will host ministers, officials and executives from the MENA region. Participants will address challenges that face the electric power sector in the region, primarily the costs of producing and transferring electricity, according to the union’s website.
