NCSC graduates 11th cybersecurity cohort to meet labour market needs

AMMAN — The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) on Thursday celebrated the graduation o f the 11th cohort from the Nashama Al Cyber Bootcamp.

The bootcamp is one of the “most” prominent national programmes designed to qualify cybersecurity alumni to enter the job market by providing the technical and practical skills that meet the sector’s needs, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The camp is organised as part of NCSC’s efforts to build national capabilities and enhance the readiness of young talent by providing a "comprehensive" training programme that combines technical know-how with practice.

This effort would contribute to developing qualified staff to keep pace with the rapid developments in the cybersecurity field.

On the course activities, the cohort has graduated after an intensive four-month programme, which provided participants with 440 training hours, within a specific model, focusing on developing technical skills and building personal and professional capabilities, which would enhance graduates' readiness for the professional world.

On its goals, the camp provides a "unique" opportunity for beneficiaries to launch their careers and secure the necessary skills to join the labour market.

This initiative also aligns with the centre’s mission to develop national talent to protect Jordan's cyberspace and support the digital transformation.
