Naval force personnel perform drill

AMMAN — Royal Naval Force (RNF) personnel performed a naval search and rescue exercise on Thursday in Aqaba, some 330km south of Amman.
The drill aimed at enhancing cooperation and coordination between military, public and private institutions and independent commissions in case of major naval accidents.
Transport Minister and Jordan Maritime Commission Director General Lina Shbeeb said RNF personnel showed high levels of proficiency during the drill.
RNF Commander Brig. Gen. Qassem Nahar said such drills aim at reaching high degrees of readiness, proficiency and response in case of maritime accidents.
The drill included extinguishing fires, first aid administration, protecting maritime environment against pollution and diving during major incidents.
