AMMAN — Ministry of Labour Spokesperson Mohammad Zyoud on Saturday said that the number of employment contracts facilitated through the National Employment Programme “Tashgheel”, has reached 38,382 contracts, while the number of private sector establishments registered in the programme stands at 2,507.
Zyoud added that the number of beneficiaries from the National Aid Fund is 2,605, including 1,281 females, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also noted that the program aligns with the government's direction to empower Jordanians aged 18-40 from all governorates and various educational qualifications.
The programme aims to incentivise the private sector to provide job opportunities for unemployed Jordanians across all sectors and economic activities in the Kingdom's governorates.
Zyoud said that under the program, the employer is obligated to sign a 12-month contract with the worker they intend to hire. The programme contributes JD130 to the worker's wage for six months, JD10 towards social security contributions, and an additional JD10 for transportation expenses.
