AMMAN — The National Charter Party on Saturday expressed its appreciation for the efforts made by government regulatory agencies in ensuring food safety, particularly the seizure and disposal of thousands of tonnes of spoiled rice before reaching consumers. During a meeting of the Political Bureau of the party, Mohammad Al Momani, the party's secretary-general, called on these agencies to maximise market surveillance, continue inspection campaigns and ensure proper storage of food. He also urged citizens to cooperate with the relevant authorities and report any attempts that affect the quality of food and medicine for Jordanians. The gathering also condemned the arbitrary and destructive actions of the extremist Israeli right-wing government, which resulted in casualties in various Palestinian cities and the Gaza Strip in recent days, according to a party statement. The party called on the international community to take legal and ethical action in response to the violations committed by occupation forces on Palestinian soil.
