AMMAN — The National Charter Party on Saturday commended Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh's remarks at Davos World Economic Forum, that "any breaches of the Jordanian-Israeli peace treaty, attempts of forced displacement of Palestinians from the West Bank, or threats posed on the historical, legal, and Hashemite custodianship in Jerusalem vow decisive action".

During the 44th periodic meeting of the party's political bureau, led by its Secretary-General Muhammad Momani, the party stressed its support for Khasawneh 's stance, which aligns with Jordan's official position. It also acknowledged His Majesty King Abdullah's international efforts to halt the war in Gaza, end violence in the West Bank, and prevent settler incursions at Al Aqsa Mosque, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

It  also condemned  the killing of children, women, and civilians, displacing them, and destroying infrastructure, hospitals, schools, mosques, churches, universities and institutions affiliated with the United Nations, noting that that the war  has resulted in nearly 100,000 deaths, wounded, and missing individuals, with over 1.5 million Palestinians has been displaced.

The party reiterated the urgent call for the international community to halt the war, provide humanitarian aid to Gaza, and reject forced displacement of the people of Gaza and the West Bank.
