AMMAN — The National Aid Fund (NAF), in partnership with Oxfam in Jordan, has concluded a series of capacity-building workshops aimed at strengthening the fund’s staff skills in the field of economic empowerment and improving effective communication with beneficiaries.
The workshops, held across the northern, central, and southern regions, brought together 75 fund employees, along with a number of partners and beneficiaries, according to a NAF statement.
They focused on developing effective communication skills, building trust, behavioural guidance, and equipping participants with practical tools to address beneficiaries’ concerns related to the suspension of assistance, thereby contributing to strengthening their long-term economic resilience.
NAF Director-General Khatam Shneikat emphasized that these trainings helped deepen the fund teams’ understanding of beneficiaries’ needs and concerns, correct certain misconceptions, and guide families more effectively towards economic empowerment opportunities, positively reflecting on the quality of services provided.
She added that NAF values its partnership with Oxfam, given its role in building and strengthening staff capacities and improving beneficiaries’ continuity within empowerment programs.
For his part, Oxfam in Jordan’s External Relations Director Ayoub Yassin expressed pride of the partnership with NAF to support frontline staff and enhance the quality of services provided to families across the Kingdom.
He noted that these workshops are an extension of the long-standing cooperation between Oxfam and NAF and reflect their shared commitment to expanding economic empowerment opportunities for the most vulnerable groups.
The implementation of these workshops comes as part of NAF’s efforts to enhance staff efficiency and support the transition from providing assistance to achieving sustainable economic empowerment for beneficiary families.
