AMMAN — Jordan is a strategic ally in the war on extremism and in combating terrorist organisations, Interior Minister in the caretaker government Samir Mubaidin said on Monday.
The minister made the remarks during a meeting with Under Secretary General of the UN Office of Counterterrorism Vladimir Voronkov, where they discussed means to enhance cooperation between Jordan and the UN agency in the fields of counterterrorism and anti-extremism, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Mubaidin said that the ideological part of the war against terrorism is the most important and dangerous due to the fact that uprooting it needs longer time.
