MoU signed to provide skills training for youth to enter labour market

AMMAN — Irbid Chamber of Industry and National Alliance Against Hunger and Malnutrition (Najmah) on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide training skills in demand for 378 young men and women to improve their chance of participation in the labour market.

Deputising for HRH Princess Basma, President of Najmah Ali Ghazawi and President of Irbid Chamber of Industry Hani Abu Hassan signed the agreement, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Under the agreement supported by the German Agency for International Cooperation, job seekers will be introduced to suitable job opportunities that match their skills, as well as receive work readiness training.

The programme, aimed at young Jordanians aged between 18 and 40 years, will offer trainees a JD220 monthly payment for six months, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
