Motorists urged to retrieve impounded cars

AMMAN — The Public Security Department’s (PSD) media centre on Monday called on motorists whose cars have been impounded for nearly 24 months to visit the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department.

The PSD added in a statement that Article 49 of the Traffic Law stipulates selling confiscated cars in a public auction if their owners do not check on their vehicles, retrieve them or turn them over to the Treasury within 24 months after they were impounded.
