Minor hospitalised after being hit by vehicle, driver detained

AMMAN — A minor, born in 2009, was hospitalised after being hit by a vehicle in the Southern Badia, the police said on Thursday.

The Public Security Directorate's spokesperson added that the juvenile is in good condition and has been discharged from the hospital.

He said that the vehicle was seized, and the driver, of European nationality, was in custody, noting that all necessary legal action will be taken.

A PSD statement refuted reports that the violator will not be subject to legal action and stressed that the case will be referred to the court.
