AMMAN — The Ministry of Health on Sunday urged the public, especially those with chronic diseases and children, to take precautions as dust-laden winds pass through the Kingdom.

Malek Habashneh, head of the ministry’s health awareness department, called for taking preventive measures to avoid respiratory diseases.

He said asthma patients and those who suffer seasonal allergy could experience an increase in symptoms. He urged patients not to stay outdoors for long during dusty weather and to head to hospital in case of emergency, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
