Ministry issues 2016 accounting statements for government units

AMMAN — The Finance Ministry at the end of May issued the final accounting statements for 59 government units for the year 2016, which were presented to Parliament and the Audit Bureau, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Tuesday.
The Finance Ministry on Tuesday said the government units include the governmental commissions, financially independent institutions and companies completely owned by the government.
The ministry said while some units achieved an annual deficit, others achieved financial surplus. The total deficit amount to around JD18 million compared to JD238 million in 2015.
