Ministry follows up on death of Jordanian in Saudi Arabia

AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry is following up on the death of a Jordanian who was the victim of a hit and run in Saudi Arabia, Head of the Foreign Ministry’s Operations Centre Sufian Qudah said on Saturday.

Qudah noted that the Foreign Ministry’s operations department and the Jordanian embassy in Riyadh are following up on the incident with the Saudi authorities in pursuit of the culprit, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

The ministry has also provided financial support to the family of the deceased to facilitate their travel to Saudi Arabia as soon as possible. The Kingdom’s embassy in Riyadh has taken measures to transfer the citizen’s body back to Jordan in coordination with his family, the statement said.
