Mexican ambassador praises Jordanian journalists, media organisations

AMMAN — Mexican Ambassador to Jordan Roberto Rodriguez-Hernandez on Thursday highlighted the importance of journalists and media organisations in boosting ties between Jordan and Mexico.

During a ceremonial speech at the Mexican embassy, the ambassador honoured Jordanian journalists who cover the embassy’s activities and diplomatic news, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The event marked the 48th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

He underscored the pivotal role of journalists in promoting the interests of both countries, also praising the "distinguished" ties and continuous progress between Jordan and Mexico. President of the Jordanian-Mexican Friendship Association Barakat Awajan highlighted the importance of His Majesty King Abdullah's visits to Mexico, which have significantly contributed to enhancing these relations.
