AMMAN — Education for Employment (EFE) is bringing the MENA region’s leading youth-employment-solutions event to Amman.
The MENA YES! (Youth Employment Summit) is scheduled to take place on October 20–21, at the Intercontinental Amman, bringing together regional and global stakeholders to co-create innovative solutions for one of the region’s most urgent challenges: youth unemployment, according to an EFE statement.
“MENA YES! is a unique platform for catalysing collective action. By co-creating solutions with diverse partners, we are tackling the region’s youth employment challenges head-on,” said Andrew Baird, EFE-Global CEO and Chair of MENA YES! Steering Committee.
“Jordan is ideally positioned to host this event with its commitment to providing opportunities for youth situated in the heart of the MENA region,” Baird added.
Hosted in Jordan, a country recognised for its pioneering work with displaced communities, MENA YES! 2025 will gather public and private sector representatives, youth leaders, policymakers, employers, educators, and civil society organisations to explore actionable strategies for inclusive and sustainable employment.
This year’s summit is organised around four major themes: Women’s economic opportunity and labour market participation, jobs in the green and circular economy, artificial intelligence and the digital economy, and mental health and psychosocial support, the statement said.
A cross-cutting theme throughout the summit is Refugee and Displaced Youth Inclusion, ensuring that the voices and experiences of displaced youth shape every session and solution.
In 2024, the summit held in Morocco welcomed over 250 participants, 141 organisations, over 20 speakers, and hosted more than 15 sessions. This year promises to build on that momentum with even greater impact.
