Meetings of Jordanian-Saudi technical committee for land transport conclude

AMMAN — The meetings of the joint Jordanian-Saudi technical committee for land transport concluded on Tuesday.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Transport Wissam Al Tahtamouni and President of the Saudi Transport General Authority Rumaih Al Rumaih chaired the meetings, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meetings, the two sides agreed to comply with a 15-day stay period for trucks.
Both sides also agreed that the stay period of the Jordanian trucks is calculated after finishing all customs procedures, as of entry time to Saudi Arabia. They also stressed the need to enhance coordination between the countries' customs centres at the border crossings.
