Mediterranean, European gendarmerie association convenes in Amman

AMMAN — Gendarmerie Department Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh on Monday inaugurated the human resources meeting for the Association of Mediterranean and European Gendarmeries (FIEP) at the department’s headquarters, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Hawatmeh said the FIEP “is one of the most effective institutions in the field of global security and stability”. The attendees are discussing research papers presented by FIEP member states. The meeting also focused on several security issues and expertise exchange.
