AMMAN — The Jordan Media Institute (JMI) will organise an international conference titled “Syrian Refugees in Jordan: The Question of Community and Media”, between December 8-10.
Around 200 academic and media figures from Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey, in addition to representatives of international relief and refugee organisations, and 30 Arab and world media outlets will participate in the event, according to a JMI statement.
JMI Dean Bassem Tweisi said the conference aims to build a database on the conditions of Syrian refugees in Jordan and neighbouring countries, among others.
The conference, co-organised by the Norwegian Media Institute, seeks to develop a better and more subjective understanding on the conditions of host countries.
