AMMAN — Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Group (TAG), announced that media and communication expert Khalid Dalal has joined TAG as senior media adviser and special representative for international strategic communication.

In a press statement, Abu-Ghazaleh said that the step constitutes a “quality addition due to the unique experience Dalal enjoys in the fields of media, communication and strategic relations”.

He added: “Dalal has diverse advanced skills due to his career as director of media and communication at the office of His Majesty King Abdullah II for several years, and the other posts he assumed, and missions he executed with remarkable success at the Royal Hashemite Court and elsewhere.”

Dalal started his career at the Royal Court in 2004 as a press secretary, before being appointed deputy manager of information at the Media and Communication Directorate (MCD), and later promoted to the post of head of planning, then director of operations at MCD before he assumed the top post at the directorate. He was then promoted to work as an adviser at the Royal Court.

Before that, he served as a political reporter and editor at The Jordan Times, and has worked with several global media outlets, including the international Newsweek and the British Lloyd’s magazines.

He holds a BA in English and American literature from the University of Jordan, an MA degree from the UK-based Leicester University in media, communication and public relations, and has completed the International Programme in Strategic Communication from Columbia University in New York.

Dalal is also a graduate of the UK-based Royal Military Academy Sandhurst’s Civil Service Leadership Programme, and has attended advanced studies in leadership communication and negotiation strategies at Harvard University in Boston.
