Man, two sons detained for ‘fabricated theft’

AMMAN — Central Region Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel arrested a man and two of his sons for providing misleading information, the Public Security Department (PSD) said Wednesday.
A man who works at a company that delivers mobile phone cards filed a complaint at the Zarqa CID saying JD11,000 and mobile phones were stolen from his car.
Investigations revealed discrepancies in the man’s testimony and he confessed to fabricating the story in cooperation with two of his sons to avoid paying money he owes to the company.
