Man held for spreading fake news on coronavirus

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel have arrested a man who claimed, through a voice recording, that a person had died of coronavirus in Zarqa, the Public Security Department (PSD) spokesperson said on Saturday. 

The PSD warned against spreading rumours and false news, calling on the public to verify such news before sharing it, especially under the difficult conditions the Kingdom is facing regarding coronavirus, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
