Man allegedly strangles friend to death

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel have identified a man who allegedly killed an Arab national who entered the Kingdom on August 26. The Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson on Saturday noted that the victim’s friend handed himself over to police after being wanted on suspicion.

During investigations, the suspect confessed to strangling the victim to death in a dispute and burying him in their jointly owned farm in Mafraq, 80km northeast of Amman. The police retrieved the body and the case will be referred to the judiciary, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
