Mamlaka TV, Jordan Radio win first prize for Arab Radio, TV Festival

AMMAN — Al-Mamlaka TV and Jordan Radio and Television Corporation won the first prize in the 24th Arab Radio and TV Festival, which announced its results on Saturday in Tunis.
Al-Mamlaka TV received the first prize in the parallel television competitions/news and news report category for the programme “Success Stories Achieved by People with Disabilities in Jordan”.
The second prize went to the programme “Girls on the Frontline/When Women Lead” (Jana Company-Palestine).
Al-Mamlaka TV also won the second prize in the main television competitions/variety shows and artistic evening’s category for the programme “Al Mawed,” sharing the award with Tunisian TV, while the first prize went to the variety show “Yemeni Tune Party in Paris” by Yemen Radio and Television Corporation.
Jordan Radio and Television Corporation also won the first prize in the main radio competitions for the program “Antarah” in the epic drama category, with Oman Radio winning the second prize.
The programme “Hawader Eslamia”, produced by Jordan Space for Media, won the second prize in the general documentary films and programmes category.
In the main television competitions/news report category, the award went to the martyr reporter Mohammed Abu Hatab for his report “Occupation Assassinating the Truth” (Palestine TV).
