Malaysian PM hails King’s support of Palestinian cause

AMMAN — Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Bin Mohamad on Monday praised His Majesty King Abdullah’s efforts and unaltered stances in support of the Palestinian cause.

During a meeting with the Jordanian parliamentary delegation to the third annual Conference of the League of Parliamentarians for Al Quds in Kuala Lumpur, which concluded its activities on Tuesday, the premier highlighted the “deep-rooted” relations between Jordan and Malaysia, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

MP Yahya Saud, head of the delegation, highlighted His Majesty’s efforts in defending Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites through coordination with Palestinians and positive communication with the international community.

The delegates also stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral ties with Malaysia on the parliamentary, tourist, economic and investment levels.
