Maaytah urges political parties to form coalitions

AMMAN — Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs and Minister of State Musa Maaytah on Sunday highlighted the importance of the active participation of political parties in the reform process and enhancing democracy, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

At a meeting with the coalition of centrist parties, the minister said the upcoming parliamentary elections, slated for September 20, will be stronger through the participation of inter-party coalitions. He urged representatives of parties to review the government’s executive programme and to present suggestions, particularly in the field of combating unemployment through self-employment programmes.
