AMMAN — Medical examinations conducted on 25 workers who sought treatment at the Maan Government Hospital on Friday night revealed that only four of the workers were suffering from seasonal influenza, director of the hospital, Walid Al Rawad, said on Saturday.
Rawad emphasised that the COVID-19 tests performed on the individuals were negative, and they were discharged from the hospital without admission. These workers include three Jordanians and 22 non-Jordanians, employed by a private contracting company.
Earlier the day, Rawad denied rumours claiming that the hospital was closed to patients and the presence of law enforcement personnel on the premises. He stressed that the hospital is fully operational and is accepting patients.
