Lower House panel to draft reply to Speech from Throne

AMMAN — The permanent office of the Lower House on Monday formed a 14-member committee entrusted with preparing and drafting a response to His Majesty King Abdullah’s Speech from the Throne, which he delivered on Sunday.
The committee agreed to meet on Tuesday to elect a president and start drafting the reply.
Under the Constitution, Parliament must respond to the King’s Speech from the Throne within two weeks.
