Lower House listens to gov’t replies to its 12 questions

AMMAN — The Lower House on Monday listened to the government's replies to 12 questions by MPs. The lawmakers' questions mainly focused on price hike on fuel derivatives, weak coverage of telecommunication and Internet services in some areas, suspected corruption, an agreement to export agricultural produce to Israel, and a delay in referring a tender to implement a solar energy project in Al Dhulail, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Acting Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi, who headed the session, expressed hope for a successful surgery for His Majesty King Abdullah in treatment for a thoracic herniated disc.
