By JT - Oct 23,2018 - Last updated at Oct 23,2018

AMMAN — The Lower House on Tuesday completed the formation of its 20 permanent committees.

The House on Tuesday elected members of its administrative, tourism and antiquities, health and environment and Palestine committees after it had previously elected members of 16 other panels, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

According to the Chamber’s by-law, a committee can be composed of 5 to 11 members, and if the number of candidates exceeds 11, members are elected through balloting within 14 days of the start of each ordinary session.

An MP cannot be a member of more than two permanent committees and cannot be a member of a committee and the permanent office.
