AMMAN — The Lower House on Monday underscored the need for immediate Arab and international action to halt the occupation's aggression in the Palestinian city of Jenin. It called upon the international community, international organisations and regional and international parliaments to take steps to put an end to the Israeli occupation’s crimes and ensure the protection of the Palestinian people. In a statement, the Lower House affirmed that the occupation's crimes will not deter the Palestinian people’s efforts to achieve their legitimate rights and establish an independent state on their national soil with Jerusalem as its capital. The statement emphasised that “the occupier's brutality against the Palestinian people undermines all peace initiatives and serves as a testament to the world that it is an entity that practices extremism in its various forms of persecution against unarmed Palestinians”.
