AMMAN — The maximum load on the national power grid reached 2,920 megawatts (MW) on Saturday, while the generating capacity stands at 4,000MW, according to National Electric Power Company Director General Abdul Fattah Daradkeh.
He expected the load to increase to 3000MW on Sunday because of the rise in temperature. Moreover, Daradkeh said the national grid has so far been able to cope with the power load due to the “high” generation capacity.
