Lecture held on Jordan-India relations

AMMAN — The Indian embassy in Amman, in association with Al Isra University, has organised an event as part of 75 years of India's independence celebrations (“Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”) in Jordan, according to an embassy statement.
Delivering a lecture on the theme “70 years of India-Jordan Relations” at the university, Indian Ambassador Anwar Haleem highlighted the historic and close friendly relations between India and Jordan, which is “scaling new heights” under the leadership of Indian PM Narendra Modi and His Majesty King Abdullah, the statement said.
Addressing the gathering, Al Isra University President Ahmed Nuseirat conveyed his greeting to the government and people of India on 75 years of India's independence.
The online lecture, which was attended by more than 130 faculty members, academicians and students from Al Isra University, commenced with a special video message from Modi sent on the occasion of Jordan’s centenary, which was followed by a photo exhibition on India-Jordan relations.
