Lawmakers to participate in Mali OIC meeting

AMMAN — A parliamentary delegation left the Kingdom for Bamako, Mali on Friday to participate in the 12th meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), scheduled to commence on Monday.
During the six-day event, delegates will discuss reports of the OIC permanent committees, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The political committee prepared a draft resolution on the Palestinian issue and a call on the UN Security Council to approve Palestine’s full membership at the UN.
First Deputy Lower House Speaker Khamis Atiyyeh, the head of the delegation comprising senators and deputies, said the lawmakers will raise the issue of Syrian refugees in Jordan and call on member parliaments to help the Kingdom financially in order to continue presenting humanitarian services to them.
